RECOMMENDED EXTENSION SOUTHERN ITALY SHRINES OF ITALY

	DAY 1: San Giovanni Rotondo

	We drive south along the Adriatic coastline to Lanciano, to visit the 8th century Eucharist Miracle in the little Church of Lagontial. Later in the day we arrive in San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight.

	DAY 2: San Giovanni Rotondo

	Attend Mass at the Tomb of Padre Pio in the Church of St Maria delle Grazie, and take a guided tour of the sanctuary. Later we enjoy a breathtaking view of the Cargano Peninsula before visiting the Grotto of Michael the Archangel, one of the most celebrated shrines of Old Christianity. Return to San Giovanni for devotions, dinner and overnight.

	DAY 3: Pompeii/Sorrento

	We travel west across the Italian peninsula to Pompeii to see how the ancient Roman city looked. The extensive forum, lavish temples, and patrician villas reflect their flourish past. We continue to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.

	DAY 4: Sorrento

	This morning we take an excursion to the Isle of Capri and the Blue Grotto. The balance of the day is at leisure.

	DAY 5: Depart For USA

	We travel back to Rome for your return flight home.
