1: Depart USA |

2: Tel Aviv |

Arrive in Tel
Aviv. Upon arrival, you are met, assisted and transferred to your
hotel for dinner and overnight. The balance of the day is at leisure. |

DAY
3: Caesarea/Haifa/Galilee |
 |
| |
We start our
tour with a drive along the coastal highway to Caesarea,
once the capital of the Roman
province, to see Roman and Crusader remains and the harbor from
which St. Paul was taken prisoner to Rome. We then travel to Megiddo
where excavations have unearthed 20 layers of civilization, most
likely the site of Armageddon. On to Haifa, ascending
to the top of Mount Carmel to enjoy a panoramic
view of the Mediterranean Sea. We continue our journey through the
lush Galilean
hillside and then descend below sea level to the shores of the Sea
of Galilee to reach Tiberias, a therapeutic spa dating back to Roman
times. |

4: Galilee |

Today's travel
takes us into Upper Galilee. Travel by boat across the Sea of Galilee.
Visit Capernaum, home to St. Peter and and site
of Christ's preaching. On to Tabgha, site of the
miracle of the Loves and Fishes, and the Mount of Beatitudes.
We drive through the Golan Heights to Dan and ancient
Caesarea Philippi. Descend through the Eastern
shores of the sea of Galilee. On our way back to Tiberias, we will
stop at the most beautiful Baptismal Site. |

5: Tiberias/Nazareth/Jerusalem |

We
travel to Cana, where Jesus blessed the marriage
feast; visit Sepphoris, traditional birthplace
of the Blessed Mother;
Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. Ascend
Mt. Tabor, traditional site of Transfiguration.
We drive through the Jezreel Valley to reach Beit
Shean to view the beautiful mosaics and the remains
of a Roman amphitheater. We continue on to Jericho,
the oldest known city of the Western world. View Qarantal,
the Monastery on the Mount
of Temptation where Jesus fasted 40 days. Stop at
Bethany, home to Mary and Martha and site
of the tomb of Lazarus. On to Jerusalem. |

6: Jerusalem |

A breathtaking
panoramic view of the Old City greets us after a drive to
the Mount of Olives. We then visit the Church
of Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit, and the Garden
of Gethsemane. Continue to the Pool of Siloam and
the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Caiaphas' House). We
enter the Old City through Zion Gate passing the Armenian

Quarters and view the
remains of Nehemia's Wall, Temple Mount, Western
Wall and see the Dome of the Rock. Travel through
St. Stephen's Gate to reach the Church of St. Anne;
the Pool of Bethesda, Pilate's Judgement Hall and
the Chapel of Flagellation (Lithostrotos). Next
we come to the Arch of Ecce Homo (Behold the Man)
and the Convent of the Sisters of Zion.We then follow the Via
Dolorosa to the Church of The Holy Sepulchre. |

7: Jerusalem |

Visit New City of Jerusalem
including visits to Mount Zion, The Upper Room,
The Tomb of King David, Dormition Abbey, the
Shrine of the Book and the Model City which
explains "the look" of Jerusalem during Jesus' time. We
continue on to Ein Karem, birth place of John the
Baptist. Visit Bethlehem, birth place of Kind David
and Jesus; see the Church of the Nativity, the
Manger, Crusaders' Cloister and the Grotto
of St. Jerome. |

8: Masada (Optional) |

This morning
we drive to Dead Sea, the lowest spot on Earth, and arrive at Masada.
Here we visit King Herod the Great's fortress/palace built in the
midst of the desert. We ascend by cable car to the
summit to view the exquisite restored archeological remains of the
palace complex. Continue to Kibbutz Ein Gedi where
you will enjoy the highly therapeutic Dead Sea waters. En-route
back to Jerusalem, view Qumran, the caves where the Dead
Sea Scrolls were found. Return to Jerusalem. |
